Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in advanced analytics and machine learning & statistical modeling techniques. The Data Scientist will play a key role in extracting valuable insights from large datasets, developing predictive models, and contributing to data-driven decision making. Responsibilities: Analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and uncover insights that drive business strategies and optimizations. Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems and improve operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, formulate data-driven solutions, and present findings to stakeholders. Apply data visualization techniques to effectively communicate complex analytical results and make recommendations for action. Perform exploratory data analysis and data preprocessing tasks to ensure data quality and integrity. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and retail industry trends, and apply relevant methodologies to enhance existing models and approaches. Participate in the design and implementation of data pipelines and infrastructure for efficient data processing and analysis.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in Python programming language for data manipulation and analysis.
• Solid understanding of SQL and database management systems.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, or matplotlib.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into data- driven solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• knowledge of retail-specific datasets and challenges.
